The process of dyeing dyeable shoes

Dyeing shoes is considered by some as an art, not a science, and it For this reason you must leave this art to a professional shoe dyer. If you are considering buying a pair of shoes online from a provider does not offer this service to find a professional near you. Most repair shops for shoes and shoe dyeing, it does should not be difficult to find.

Having this professional shoe dyer in your home can help you when you come into contact with them to select color samples and check the color tones. This can help match colors much easier. This is important because that mixing colors is not an easy task and you may need to approve the final color. You can be sure that your shoes will look like when they were dyed.

However, if you're dealing with a company or an online store where you bought your dress or suit, they are in possession color of your fabric now, and you should have no problem with the results.

First Steps to Success

It is good to know that dyeing your shoes can take a week to ten days. If you want your shoes ready to wear your birthday, you must allocate enough time.

Choosing the right color is obviously the first stage, but cleaning shoes just then and it is extremely important. Even if the shoes are new, they must be cleaned and prepared all the dirt may appear as white spots after dyeing. Different fabrics require different cleaning methods. For example, leather shoes have a protective surface applied to the material during the process Tanning, which must be removed before dyeing. The removal of this protective layer makes the leather more receptive to dye. The cleaner must be applied with a damp cloth. Some leathers have a layer of varnish, which must be removed using a solvent.

A different preparation cleaning is used for suede shoes, to restore the original surface of the fabric. It is very important after cleaning to allow the suede dry completely before the dyeing process. The use of an aerosol spray suede is preferable because they are convenient and they keep moisture to a minimum. If you're planning to dye satin or synthetic materials use only cleaning products that are suitable in this tissue and follow the recommended method for cleaning. Allow footwear to dry completely to move to the next step.

Ensuring a good end

Once you have chosen your color for your fabric, the dye should be mixed. At this stage, it is a good idea to ask a professional for a color sample before starting the dyeing process because it can eliminate all future problems with the final product.

Not all dyes are suitable for each application. The dye selected should be correct for the material of the shoe. Most dyes are specific to one type of tissue and can not work on other types of tissue. The dyes that are used for shoes in satin or fabric materials are generally water based and therefore are not watertight. It is advisable to seal the shoe with a waterproofing spray before wear. This should also help prevent stains. On that note, satin shoes accept deep shades such as navy and burgundy very well and due to quality of reflectivity of the material, you may experience the greatest difference in color between the interior and exterior lighting. Unfortunately Once dyed, satin shoes should not be cleaned.

Therefore, once you've purchased your shoes, it is time for professionals to take charge. He or she can help you with the choice of color, choose the type of loading dye on the fabric, clean shoes and the art of dyeing can begin. Dress shoes and absorb more dye material more easily, while the process is more difficult for leather and suede.

The dye must be applied using a small amount of dye on a small sponge-like layer and spread evenly thin over the entire shoe. If too much stain is applied, streaks may appear that can be difficult to control. It is generally necessary to apply more than one layer to obtain the desired color. Between each layer, the dye should be allowed to dry completely. In case of scratches or spots are visible on the shoe, use a small brush dipped in the dye editing these fields.

Twenty-four hours should be whole allocated to allow the shoes to dry completely before wearing and a protective coating must be applied to leather. These conditions Leather while helping to maintain the color.
