Cleaning Litter Box While Pregnant
Is it safe to clean the cage of a rat while I'm pregnant?
I know you do not have to clean a litter box while you are pregnant, but what about the cage of a rat? My daughter has pet rats, and sometimes I clean the cage for her. My husband and I are planning to have another baby and I was just curious about it. I tried to find my answer on some sites but not rat lucky.
Hello, rats are one of the pets cleanliest you may have. The cat litter boxes are very unhygienic, the Rats are generally cleaner than cats because they do not go outside to pick up germs. If I was pregnant I would always clean my rat cage, but you should let your daughter do it because it's rats! I'd be more worried about hurting your back than to get sick:)
