Fridgedaire refrigerator icemaker works intermittenly.?

My parents have a refrigerator with icemaker Fridgedaire installed. Ice Machine is an aftermarket kit installed after the unit was in place for some years. There are some weeks I went to their house planning to move the refrigerator out, turn off the water and unhook the supply line Water, Back on the water to see if the line is connected, etc. As I was moving "things" of the road for access to the rear of refrigerator when my father opened the freezer door to discover had started making ice again. I was a little over again today, and it stopped making ice again. It has the cooling coils mounted on the back of the cupboard which are fairly well sealed and my mother cleaned often. Although it makes the ice for a few weeks to a month, my father said he does no ice cream as hard as usual. He also said that the fan seems to run much more. Stuck on defrost? Any appliance repair guys there?

Although the freezer coils at the back, make sure there is nothing stuck under the fridge, some de-icing system blower that exhausts through the fridge on some models, especially since you mentioned moving things to get to the rear. Make sure that the products in the freezer block arms are'nt complete detection the ice maker, he must travel through the overflow cycle.Also.if freezers, cold air does not circulate properly, cream.Sorry ice not a soft type of service, just experienced.
