OxiClean and painting on fabric?

Recently I dye black pants with the pants fabric. After being dried for 72 hours like the bottle said. It left some off-white or gray resdue I soak in OxiClean to try to remove resdue leave behind. Now the water is black. Wash clothes in plain black vinegar will also keep the black in them. They now represent a detergent especially for dark colors called Woolite Black. I would never use OxiClean on nothing, nor do I recommend it to anyone. In fact, it ate holes in one of my white shirts, even following the instructions.
