Wondering why my pictures come out so grainy?
I have a Nikon D40 with 55-200mm VR nikor and recently released grainy photos sooo .. I tried cleaning the lens with a lens cleaner and it did not really do anything. I was wondering if the parameters theres I can change to solve this problem or if I should be cleaning the inside of the camera instead? Thank you!
Try these, in this order: 1. Reduce your ISO setting. 2. Clean your lens (front and rear 3). Remove the filters from your lens. Too many to eat your status image. 4. Get your sensor professionally cleaned. dust from the sensor is not really a DIY project to fix. In the future if it does end by being objective or dust from the sensor, than to change your lenses in an environment you can control. That basically means inside. Somewhere not dusty, if possible, without wind, and for heaven's sake, do not change it somewhere with sand.
