Have you used a new washer that uses steam to clean clothes?

Details: My 20 years old Maytag is biting the dust. My husband and I started looking around a new energy efficient front loader and go through sticker shock. I like the idea of using steam to wash clothes, but my husband questions the additional costs. I wonder out or better washer steam clean clothes. I remember Chinese laundries used steam to wash clothes and linens in the old days. It seems to me that the laundry would be sanitized without using water bleach. I even read somewhere that steam washing does not need detergent. Can you tell me your experiences with these new machines? Thank you lot!

You should consider Kenmore HE washers (they are made by Maytag anyway). http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_02647571000P I bought this washer last year and was amazed by how clean the laundry is out. This washer has a option to find clean hot water is heated by an element. I think this case is the steam just hot air;)

cleaning ring around the collar
How to remove the ring around the collar, even after dry cleaning?

Many of my shirts have white ring around the collar, even after having to have my cleaner blanch. My dry cleaning is excellent, but they do not seem to get the ring / spot on again. Other suggestions?

Here's what I learned in boot camp. 1 cup water, 1 / 4 cup detergent, 1 / 4 cup of bleach. Rub with a brush. It will be released. Make sure you wash the shirt when your done. If you do not, the bleach will eat holes in your shirts.

Dry clean clothes really clean? Is it cleaner cleaning or washing machine?

I never buy clothes drying cleaning. First, most of them are more expensive and it costs more money and time to dry clean. Although I do have clothes which are given by a special person, and I just want to know. is clean and dry really clean?

I found that if I took my clothes laundry, do they really care about spots too. I work in a restaurant and my uniforms are always colorful. They do not do a good job of checking to ensure disappear. However, if I clear my own uniform, I can keep washing until stains have disappeared, and its cheaper.

Anyone know how how to make a air compressor that will run from a truck mount Carpet Cleaning machine?

I own a carpet cleaning business and we begin to clean air ducts with compressed air. I would find a way to use my truck mount machine (22 HP engines) to generate the air, either to fill a tank, or simply to create a constant supply of air ducts cleaned. Ideas?

you'll need a tank and get it to fill the tank This way you have a constant pressure.

Do you love your bamboo flooring in your kitchen and laundry room?

How to clean your floor? Is it solid? Do you put something on the legs furniture and appliances to prevent scratching the floor?

Bamboo flooring is beautiful (all styles) It is hard as a rock. (I burned two blades very nice kitchen facility) to clean you just empty for the most part, or wipe with a damp cloth if you spill something. All the furniture you put on the hardwood should have little rubber or soft plastic feet on them, to keep the stripes of a mininum. Bamboo is expensive, but I think it worth the price.
