I can not believe that oil! Humans have been using oil for thousands of years, long before drilling technology that arrived in the mid-1800s. Ancient cultures used as an adhesive and caulk the seams of wooden ships. Chinese used it as fuel to heat homes and light their lamps.

cleaning tile grout with bleach
how do I get white grout with white tiles again?

We moved into a house of seven years and the white bathroom tile grout ceramic floor will not come clean. We have tried bleach, another brand, a steamboat and a lot of cleaning products that people said it work, but no help. We soaked and brushed. If I'm digging the grout and redo it, what is the easiest way? I heard a church key works. Yes, it is sanded grout. If I can clean and seal my wife could be happy with it.

A product called tri-sodium-phosphare will clean the place. coach

How can i clean grout off tile travertine that has not been cleaned properly

I installed travertine tile in my shower grout and starts when I was called away before I was able to finish cleaning fully.how Can I clean the grout off the tile?

I do not know precisely travertine. But I used Brillo pads to clean off excess grout from ceramic (It was recommended to me by a professional installer of tiles). Get a scrub pad that is considered "fine" or "very good" He wet it, then away until all extra grout is gone (they also grout scrapers if you have large pieces that must come off). Note: I recommend trying it in an inconspicuous place to make sure that the travertine does not scratch easily.

Cleaning ceramic tile floors

Cleaning ceramic tile floors

Cleaning Tile can be a frustrating task because of the difference of the material that is made glazed tiles and grout unglazed. Ceramic tiles are an excellent addition to the house, usually the bathrooms, hallways and kitchens. But like all stories they need periodic cleaning and cleaning of ceramic tile floor is not the same as cleaning a vinyl or wood floor. What makes this difficult is that the tile is glazed, but the grouting unglazed cement mortar between the tiles stained or dirty that much easier than the tile. Although the grout sealer may be applied, it is still not as durable and resistant to stains and dirt that tile. If the grout is dirty the entire floor looks dirty. So how is it clean?

There are many Household Cleaning Products available to do the job, however, none of them are performing much better the white vinegar and hot water. Vinegar is a smooth blend of citric acid tartanic AMD. It makes a great cleaning solvent when mixed with warm water. It rates just as well as commercial cleaning products to clean grout floor and does not cost nearly as much. To clean grout, combine 50/50% mixture of white vinegar and warm water and apply the grout with a sponge. That the game for a few minutes and scrub the grout using a toothbrush. A second application may be necessary if the grout is very dirty. Use the sponge to absorb the waste and clean the floor with a detergent.

The same vinegar and water solution can be used to clean the stains on the tile. Use sponge to clean the entire floor and dry. Because vinegar is an acid it will remove any grout sealer which has not disappeared. After cleaning Reapply the grout sealer, grout using a small brush. Apply two applications of plaster, let it dry completely between applications. Grout Sealer is available in most centers offer an improvement or tile store.

To protect your hands, I recommend that rubber gloves be worn when handling the vinegar solution and apply the grout sealer. It is not necessary use an electric floor scrubber / polisher to clean a ceramic tile floor. The excessive use of washing / polishing can remove the veneer of the slab leaving a matte finish. I do not recommend using Clorox bleach to clean ceramic tile because it casts a yellow square and erode the grout.

What better product to use to clean tile floors?

Our house is mostly tile. I have been using a Swiffer Wet Jet and I am beginning to think that I should use something more efficient. It seems that simply pushes the Swiffer dust or what have you this place to another. Suggestions? Thank you

depends on the type of tile – to clean the grout Greased Lightening and a brush to clean grout my kitchen floors and bathroom two floors which are ceramic tile – Pine Sol, bleach or water to clean floors, master bathroom tiles are a natural Porceliner – I use hot water and some soap (some chemicals can damage the tiles are different) depending on the type of tile – Will depend on the type of product. Vinegar is effective, but it will hurt travertine, marble, granite, etc. should look at everything that is an acid on the floor because it causes engraving – but again, it depends on the type of tile. Make sure tile floors are sealed properly – most of the time, sealing lasts about 5 years between applications. It keeps the tiles protected water Turning them and preserve them and the grout. As for what to use – generally I use a mop – a type of butterfly terry cloth for the kitchen, and a mop for the two bathrooms, the bathroom more than I usually do with a washcloth and rub on my hands and knees because of the size, but I will do my floors, on the occasion in this way.

Good Grout Cleaner Tile?

I hope someone can recommend a good type "machine" that will help steam to clean stains on tile ground, my floor grout. I am open to any other "green" cleaning techniques that success had someone with too. Sincerely, the grout was sealed after the tile was installed six months ago, but patches of land began almost immediately in areas with heavy traffic. I tried a little grout cleaning chemicals, without success.

Paul is right on the money and I had the same type of soil in one of my group homes, and just for fun, thought I would see if a Clorox pen worked on the grout. I followed the grout line, let it soak for about twenty minutes, and cleaned with a green scrub pad. He came right and looked like a new floor here. Unfortunately, I have not had time to do things together, and he kind of stood out!
